Hi Patty, just love the site, I'm looking for a female sheltie, For a companion , will give lots of love and care for her. My fiancee works out of town, and I can't work due to having fibromalgia , RSDS, and carpol tunnel of the right wrist. I've had other dogs before but they have since passed on. As a kid had a border collie whom a drunk driver ran over him. He was walking with me, when this drunk driver started driving for me. He missed me, but he got Mischief instead. I was heart broken. I still miss him. Other dogs we had were from the humaine society, but when I left home, because they were the family dogs they had to stay with the other family members, we were a big family. My fiancee has had dogs and cats too. Both of us just love dogs and cats. I've looked at other breeds of dogs and I keep coming back to a sheltie or rough collie, sheltie 1st choice. While looking over what you had available I came across a blue merle female pup named Ava, she's gorgeous. Her brothers and sisters are all gorgeous too, but something about Ava attracted her to me. Can I have more info about her and some more pictures please. Thank you for your help in advance, it is greatly appreciated. Hi Patti, I am waiting for the update on the brand new puppies. I may even get 2 females this time. Spot is a wonderful companion. He is now racing with me on my wheeler. He loves to chase balls and we will be starting agility training this summer. He is s pleasure to have around. He and Izzy are getting along with our two new rescue kittens wonderfully. Spot is currently sitting my my feet. He loves human contact and I think he is more comfortable when he is with us. What a great friend and lover you have given us. Thankyou. I recently adopted one of Patti's pups. It was a learning experience for both of us, her never flying a pup to Canada, and us never buying a pup from some one we never met, let alone in a different counrty! I received my sweetie Teddy a.k.a Parker a little over 2 weeks ago. I have always gotten my dogs from the dog pound or humane society but 3 years ago my husband and I had the chance to rescue a tri-colored sheltie from an abusive environment. . This past December we had to put lady to sleep due to prior ailments and old age. I was very upset and my husband suggested that I see if I could find a puppy to raise. I was hesitant but after surfing the internet and finding NOTHING in Arizona that sounded good at all, I was fortunate to find Pattiâ??s website LD Legacies Shelties. I read the references section and looked at all the tabs. Then I emailed her and was VERY impressed. Patti answered all my questions and didnâ??t push me into getting a puppy. When I saw the picture of my little guy with the white heart on his forehead and that he was born 4 days after we lost Lady, to me this was meant to be. Patti sent pictures of Teddy as he grew and even a short video with him playing in the yard with his litter mates. He is a bundle of energy and LOVES to play with his older brother, Bear, who is our black Labrador/border collie. If anyone is thinking of purchasing a sheltie from a caring breeder who loves her dogs and puppies you have come to the right spot. A better place to purchase a Shetland sheepdog puppy you will never find. Many years ago I lost my 14 year old shelty to an accident. The experience has has left me traumatized. When my wife found LD Legacies on line I was very reluctant. After seeing the pictures of Patti's shelties and speaking with her I felt a renewed sense of desire for another pet. I did not want replace my old shelty and thought she could never be duplicated.
